Meet the people that made it all happen.

CB CHUAH - MANAGING DIRECTOR

CB Chuah is holding an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom and is also the Co-Founder/ Deputy President (2021 - 2023) of Malaysian Institute of Estate Planners (MIEP).

​

CB Chuah started his career in banking industry in the year 1985, and his last position was the Regional Corporate Banking Manager in AMBank Group in the year 1995. He was also involved in several corporate finance exercises/ club deals for AMBank Group.

​

From years 1996 to 2004, he was appointed to top management positions/ directorships in several public listed companies (i.e., TENCO Berhad Group, ANTAH Holdings Berhad, John Master Industries Bhd, etc.), which focused in providing strategic directions and executed corporate/ business plans to enhance companies’ performance and value.

​

From years 2005 to 2014, CB Chuah joined Seal Incorporated Berhad (SIB) as Group Executive Director, where he was responsible in restructuring & implementing corporate strategy and focus on increasing the top line & bottom line of the company. He provided strategic direction for few investments which made attractive returns to SIB which then resulted in successful turnaround for an almost PN17 company to a very profitable company in just few years. Another success story was to turnaround an unsuccessful mall (Selayang Mall) to earning triple net double digit yield and injected into Amanah Raya REITs.

With CB Chuah’s corporate leadership and business acumen, together with BP Ooi’s expertise in disruptive technology applications, they founded Gowise Group in 2020. He is spearheading the above solutions and playing a vital role in evolving Gowise Group into a unique solution provider in the market.

BP OOI - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

BP Ooi graduated with an Advance Diploma in Electrical & Electronic from Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC), Penang. He co-founded CryptoValley (the first cryptographic association in Malaysia) in the year 2019 and is currently still holding the position of Treasurer.

​

BP Ooi started his career in Mobile Money International Sdn Bhd (the first few e-wallet providers in Malaysia, with strength/ advantage in remittance business) from 2005 to 2012. During the 8 years dealings with various companies/ institutions such as Air Asia Group, Syabas, Astro Group, TM Group, Genting Group, iPay88, MOLpay, Celcom, Great Eastern and many other SME, he has successfully built up and acquired a business minded logic, corporate strategies, negotiation skills and project management skills. He is a core top management team member that have made “Mobile Money” a billion-dollar revenue company.

He is also a founding member of Cardinal Capital and has co-founded several technology companies that are focusing on incubating projects, developing and deploying fintech and blockchain applications.

​

In the year 2020, BP Ooi co-founded Gowise Group and is holding the position of Executive Director.

CHUA KHAI SUAN - CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Mr. Chua Khai Suan, age 45, is holding a Master Degree in Information Technology from Charles Sturt University Australia. During the early years of his career, Mr. Chua was involved in warehouse management system, eCommerce solutions, school manager system and payment gateway integration.

​

Subsequently, with Mr. Chua’s tremendous exposure and experience in the IT industry, he started a new career journey as a founder, managing director, publisher and advisor. Among them are: 

​

  1. Founder and CEO of Youbeli.com - one of the Top 3 e-Marketplace in Malaysia 

  2. Founder and CEO of MICES Technology Sdn Bhd - an eCommerce Solution Enabler 

  3. Managing Director for FSI Online Sdn Bhd - an online education portal 

  4. Member of Selangor IT and E-Commerce Council (SITEC) 

  5. Technology advisor to Selangor State Government

Since 2010 till now, Mr. Chua mainly focuses on Malaysia’s SME/SMI e-commerce to go online via latest digital technologies. He is a popular speaker for IT, Internet, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and participated in events such as Selangor Accelerator Program (SITEC SAP) and Dream Factory Start-up Competition. He is also a commentator cum analyst for media companies such as 8TV, Ai FM, Malaysiakini and China Press. Additional to that, he is a mentor for many Malaysia start-ups.

Mr. Chua is currently the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Gowise Group.

AIMAN Q - Senior Chief Designer

Aiman Q, age 27,  is an optimistic graphic designer who carries around creative solutions along with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. He studied abroad during his early years in:


Elementary School – 

  • America International School Dhaka, Bangladesh (2005-2008)


High School – 

  • Hanoi International School, Vietnam (2009) 

  • United Nations International School Hanoi, Vietnam (2010-2010)

​

Coming back to Malaysia he enrolled in INTI International University, Nilai. He was active in their student government and participated in various events as Multimedia Coordinator during his university days, where his passion for graphic design ignited and made him pursue his job as a graphic designer. 

​

He is now the Senior Chief Designer in Gowise Group.
